kerning tr.v. To adjust space between (characters) in typeset text.

What is the contingency upon which these photographs are based? Is it an illusionary fixed space contingent upon a belief system? Is that belief system contingent on an (illusionary) fixed space?

These photographs were taken around Melbourne on a four megapixel Casio QV-R40 digital camera. Shooting only 72dpi jpg, the size of the images are 640 x 480 pixels and the file size under 1Mb, making them incredibly small files. They are brief glances, spatial instances if you like, not the usual steady gaze of the camera lens. They have few themes, but much sophistication… one image supports another and then off the viewer goes. There are many existential gestures that relate to the actions in the images.

Photographs are available from this series for purchase. As a guide, a digital colour 16″ x 20″ print costs $1,000 plus tracked and insured shipping. For more information please see the Store web page.
